The West Middlesex Maternity Unit is in the Queen Mary maternity building next to the main hospital. We provide NHS maternity services to the South West London area, working closely with your local GP and community midwives.
The Maternity Unit has a long history of excellent maternity care. It has a new birth centre and delivery theatres. Being part of the West Middlesex University Hospital means there is a full range of specialist care available should any need arise, including a Special Care Baby Unit with expert medical staff.
We are delighted to have been the first maternity unit in London to achieve full accreditation by UNICEF as a Baby Friendly hospital, meaning that the care given to mothers and babies around infant feeding has been assessed and has reached internationally recognised standards. We also hold CNST level three – the highest level – for the quality and safety of our maternity healthcare.
