Welcome to the West Middlesex Maternity Unit
The West Middlesex Maternity Unit is in the Queen Mary maternity building next to the main hospital. We provide NHS maternity services to the South West London area, working closely with your local GP and community midwives.
We are delighted to have been the first maternity unit in London to achieve full accreditation by UNICEF as a Baby Friendly hospital, meaning that the care given to mothers and babies around infant feeding has been assessed and has reached internationally recognised standards. We also hold CNST level three – the highest level – for the quality and safety of our maternity healthcare.
We pride ourselves in the excellent reputation our maternity unit has developed over the years and are often a popular choice with expectant parents. To maintain a high quality and safe experience, we currently offer priority booking to women who live in the local and surrounding area. If you live out of area and are considering our maternity unit, please contact us directly and we will be happy to discuss booking capacity.
We are delighted to have recently received Government funding to upgrade some of our facilities. The building work has now started, but this shouldn't disrupt your care.
